On the 25th to the 27th of March the Year 7s travelled to Portsea for their beach experience camp.
On day one, after a bus ride filled with singing and chatting, we had some time on the beach swimming, playing games and building some amazing sand sculptures. In the evening Mr Wright treated us to a relaxing walk on the beach, where we stopped for a reflective devotion.
On day two, we rotated through experiences that taught us about the local environment and history. We practised life-saving techniques, snorkelling and bodyboarding. The evening was spent around a camp fire toasting marshmallows and reflecting on God’s grace as we enter the Easter period.
After packing our bags on day three we ventured down the giant (which really is GIANT!) swing and the flying fox. After a picnic lunch, it was time to take the bus back to Bendigo. What a great camp we had!
