Last week our Primary College students were lucky enough to enjoy a Q & A session with some AFL players. Essendon Bombers players Matt Guelfi, James Stewart, Sam Weideman and Jye Caldwell spent time talking about their lives as professional sportsmen and answered questions from our students, during their AFL Community Camp in Bendigo. Our students were interested to find out what the players ate before a game, when they played their first AFL game, and even their favourite animals.
After the Q & A, students were able to get photos with their heroes and each student received a copy of the players’ autographs. Some of our teachers also joined in for photos!
We were so lucky to be able to have this opportunity and our students were beautifully behaved and seemed to really enjoy the event.
